Where is Umling La?
Umling La is located in the Demchok region of eastern Ladakh, accessible via the village of Hanle — itself one of the most remote and breathtaking destinations in India. The road was opened by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and sits higher than Everest Base Camp on the Tibetan side.
Getting there is not easy. The route requires:
